Understanding tip processing.
When a customer tips you through thankyü, they have the option to cover the Finance Charges (transaction processing fees). By default, the option to "Pay the Finance Charges" is toggled on, meaning customers cover this cost. However, they can choose to toggle it off.

Finance Charges (5%) – These cover banking interchange fees, processing fees, and payment validation costs. The rate varies depending on the customer’s payment method. We apply a fair and blended rate through our finance partners.
Thankyu NOW Fees (5%) – These support platform technology, customer service, Thankyu Club membership, and continuous product improvements.
Thankyu FREEDOM Cashback – FREEDOM subscribers never pay thankyu NOW fees. The 5% fee is refunded as cashback.
