Welcome to thankyü Boost! These Terms & Conditions apply to organisations that set up a thankyü Boost account. By registering, you agree to the following terms.
1. About thankyü Boost
thankyü Boost is a dedicated account for organisations, venues, and groups to receive and manage tips and contributions through the thankyü platform. Unlike individual users, a thankyü Boost account is registered to an organisation rather than a person.
Typical thankyü Boost users include:
Libraries & cultural venues
Music venues & performance spaces
Grassroots sports teams & community groups
Theatre companies & arts collectives
Virtual or digital communities
Payouts from thankyü go directly to the organisation's designated account, not to individual team members.
2. Account Setup & Administrators
A thankyü Boost account must have a primary administrator responsible for managing the account.
Additional co-administrators may be added to help manage settings and reports.
The organisation must ensure that all administrators comply with these Terms & Conditions.
3. Receiving Tips & Payouts
A thankyü Boost account can receive tips and contributions from customers, visitors, or supporters.
All funds are paid directly to the organisation’s linked payout account (not to individuals).
Organisations are responsible for managing funds received and any associated tax obligations.
Payouts are made according to thankyü’s standard payout schedule.
4. No Employment or Payroll Relationship
thankyü Boost is not a payroll service and does not process wages, salaries, or employer-paid benefits.
No PAYE, tax, or employer NIC obligations apply to thankyü.
Organisations are responsible for any financial reporting, accounting, or tax obligations related to their received funds.
5. Fees & Charges
thankyü Boost accounts are subject to the same transaction processing fees (acquirer/bank charges) as individual users.
A 10% platform fee is applied to each transaction to support:

Customer support & service improvements
Ongoing feature development for thankyü usersTransaction fees and platform fees are automatically deducted before payout.
A thankyü Boost subscription is available on request.
6. Use of Data & GDPR Compliance
thankyü collects and processes data in compliance with UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
By registering for a thankyü Boost account, the organisation agrees that thankyü may:
Process data required for service operation and payout management.
Contact administrators with service updates, payout information, and platform-related communications.
Provide relevant partner offers and opportunities tailored for organisations.Organisation and financial data will never be sold or shared with third parties outside of necessary processing partners (e.g., payment providers).
Administrators can manage communication preferences via account settings.

7. Account Suspension & Termination
thankyü reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account if it is found to:
Engage in fraudulent or prohibited activities.
Misuse the platform in ways that violate our policies.
Breach applicable laws or data protection requirements.An organisation may close its thankyü Boost account at any time by contacting support.
8. Liability & Disclaimers
thankyü provides its services "as is" and does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
thankyü is not responsible for financial management, tax compliance, or reporting on behalf of the organisation.
The organisation is responsible for ensuring it meets any applicable financial or legal obligations regarding funds received.
